It's important that athletes have a balanced diet, with carbohydrates, protein, fats, electrolytes, vitamins, minerals and water.(http://www.badminton-information.com/nutrition_badminton.html
Carbohydrates: Carbs are what gives the body energy. Consuming carbs will increase the Adenosine triphosphate also know as ATP within one to two hours. Preferably, choosing carbohydrates-rich food with vitamins such as bread, rice, potatoes, fruits and etc...Do not need alot of carbs when practicing.

Proteins: It helps with strength, growth and muscle build. Protein can also help strengthen the bone from having the amino acids broken down from the protein. Meats, tofu, fish, beans and etc...are some examples of protein-rich foods.
Fats: Play the same role as carbs but they also store fat to save up energy. It's risky eating fat because eating too much can effect the weight of a person.(http://yansenjasonjulian2.blogspot.ca/p/jasons-badminton-program.html)
